Elizabeth Simpson
Senior Consultant
"After participating in Plus Delta's Discipline of Frontline Fundraising in 2015, I experienced firsthand how shared fundraising language and frameworks led to tangible results. Plus Delta's transformative approach not only enhanced our fundraising capabilities but also fostered a culture of innovation and collaboration within our team, empowering us to consistently surpass annual fundraising records. In my current role as a Senior Consultant, I continue to leverage the insights gained from this program, valuing the opportunity to connect with and support my peers and fellow development professionals as they navigate and advance their fundraising missions."
Elizabeth brings over 15 years of non-profit fundraising experience to her role as Senior Consultant at Plus Delta. Prior to joining Plus Delta, she most recently served as the Executive Director of Development for the Stead Family Children’s Hospital at the University of Iowa. She successfully directed the team through three consecutive years of record-breaking fundraising by surpassing $30 million in annual support and accumulating a total of nearly $100 million in support for children's medicine.
During her time at the University of Iowa, Elizabeth also served as the Executive Director of Development for the College of Engineering. She was responsible for securing the first eight-figure gift, the highest fundraising year to-date, and the first ever named department on University of Iowa’s main campus. Elizabeth also served as a Director of Development for Health Sciences and supported robust fundraising initiatives for the Department of Orthopedics, the Carver College of Medicine, and various other units.
Elizabeth lives in Coralville, Iowa with her son, Eli. She spends her free time volunteering with Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa and various other nonprofits throughout the corridor.
